I’ll admit, Paris has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Funny Face first created the idealized image of Paris in my mind. I remember watching Audrey Hepburn dance and sing through the streets of Paris in gorgeous gowns and being whisked off her feet by the camera clad Fred Astaire (though he was old enough to be her father…)
To say I had built Paris up in my mind would be quite the understatement.
So when Jessi of The Darling Detail blog said she needed a photographer in Paris…I took it as a sign from God that it was meant to be. She has singlehandedly created a powerhouse blog, and runs it full time. Her trip to Paris was a bit of work and a bit of much needed recuperation. She has a remarkable business aptitude and I learned so much from her!
We ran all over Paris, seeing most every sight there was to see, all while getting a ton of images. Jessi is the sweetest soul! She is an absolute delight, and I’m very thankful to call her not only a client, but a dear friend. I’m grateful that our shooting together was truly meant to be! It was an absolute blast!
She had been to Paris before and it warmed my heart how concerned she was, making sure that I actually got to explore Paris, despite our tight shooting timeline. I’m so proud of the images we created together! She is a total natural in front of the camera! I think we wore holes in our shoes from all the walking we did. And she did it in heels! #doitfortheblog
After our shooting was done we had to go shopping, bien sur! Jessi picked up the darling Chloe Drew in blush! Then we headed over to Galeries Lafayette, where I fully intended to purchase the chic Burberry Scarf I’ve been eyeing for over a year, but when I finally got to the till, it was sold out! But we didn’t let that little bump affect our trip! We indulged in sour cherry sorbet and strolled along the Seine, listening to the different troubadours sharing their songs. By the end of our two days, we were running on caffeine and croissants, but our smiles were big and the laughter was genuine!
Thank you so much Jessi for making my first trip to Paris one I will treasure for the rest of my life!
