I have so much to update y’all on! I was in DC and Virginia this past week, and I came up with a new blog feature! Foodie Fridays! Every Friday join me here for a new recipe or restaurant recommendations.
While in DC I ate at some seriously tasty restaurants.
First there was our dinner at Bodega-Tapas and Lounge in the heart of Georgetown. The atmosphere is very cozy. I loved the layout, with little nooks and seating areas. The bacon wrapped dates, manchego cheese bruschetta, and chicken & chorizo paella were the highlights of the meal!
We had Bottomless Brunch at Cava Mezze. Have you ever heard of such a thing? It was amazing! You pay $30 and you can order an unlimited amount of food off the brunch menu. Oh, and 1 cent mimosas…You really can’t go wrong with that.
I was partial to the apple cider mimosas, pork belly with honey and thyme, and the green deviled eggs. SO good. I always ask if the bloody mary mix is homemade and if it is I order a virgin bloody mary! Cava Mezze’s packed a real spicy kick. Highly recommended.
Let me know what you think about Foodie Fridays! What’s your favorite meal? Mine is Brunch!
