If you had told me 4 years ago that I would be a wedding photographer AND I’d be attending a Katelyn James workshop, well, I would’ve laughed you out of my house.
I found out about Katelyn from my dear friend and former neighbor, Lauren. She was the first fellow military spouse I’d ever met and she took me under her wing. She explained the overwhelming acronyms, kept me company when our husbands were working late and was always quick with a laugh or smile.
I made an offhand comment once that I enjoyed photography and she pointed me to Katelyn James. Lauren was originally from Virginia and had been keeping up with Katelyn’s blog. (It’s not weird for me to call her Katelyn now cause I’ve met her in person…or at least that’s what I’m telling myself.)
I was instantly a fan. I watched her business grow and change. Witnessed her making waves in the industry. She went from working solo to being able to bring on her husband AND sister. This business that she started in her college dorm room, was generating an income that allowed her to support her family. It’s a true American Dream.
Walking into her home, the same home that I had read all about being built, was so surreal. Katelyn is so warm and kind! Her husband Michael is so funny and nice! The whole time I was there I kept pinching myself. I was so overwhelmed with joy, I felt like I could burst into tears at any moment…and I may have cried a time or two…tears of pure joy!
Katelyn and Michael are strong Christians and I firmly believe their business has taken off because of how they exude Christ’s love to each and every person they meet. You cannot help but feel warm and cared for when they speak to you. The love they have for the Lord shines through them. They truly treat others the way they would want to be treated!
I learned some wonderful business strategies, a fresh perspective, even tweaks to make to my website. (Thank you Katelyn!) This was a considerable investment, but I know it’s one that will pay off dividends. If you are on the fence about attending The Katelyn James Workshop Experience, DO IT. It was worth every single penny! I want to turn around and go to another one! J
