Well, I’ve had to re-write this post several times now. Originally, it was meant to be a cheery post about how excited I am to visit my husband in Korea and spend a day roaming Seattle.
I planned on traveling Space A (which is basically military standby. It’s a free flight, the catch is being able to get on it) and when I showed up to the counter to turn in my paperwork I was informed that there were no seats available for tomorrow’s flight and it was overbooked by 5 people. Cue ugly crying.
The next Space A flight would leave Sunday.
So I’m praying hard for a miracle, and it would mean so much to me if you could send a few prayers my way too! If it is God’s will for me to make this flight, and I’m praying it is, then so be it!
When I checked in to my hotel, post-ugly cry, still red eyed and looking…morose. I head to my room and not 5 minutes later there is a knock at the door with chocolates and a sweet card from the front desk asking if I’m okay and to please let them know if they can help.
It was just the morale boost that I needed. <3
And can I just say how freaking lucky I am to have the wonderful family that I have! My cousin, who is more like my sister, brought me to tears with her kindness. I’m so thankful for my amazing family. Without their support and love, I would be truly lost right now.
In the meantime, I’m going to go explore Seattle. It’s time to make the most of the cards I’ve been dealt! Follow along in real time: @Brittany_brooke_photo
