Buckle up! It’s time for the first installment of Monday Musings! This is where I will catch you up on things I’ve been interested in lately, good books, new tea, current thoughts, etc. So let’s do this!
-A few weeks ago I was happily ensconced in the West Village covering New York Fashion Week and wandering into quaint shops. I might have purchased way too much tea and slept on a futon for the week, but it was such an amazing trip. While in New York, I set up my own styled shoot. It was daunting to say the least. But I’m so proud of the images and so thankful to the wonderful vendors who collaborated with me to make my vision a reality. Above is a sneak peek. I will do a full blog post later this week for you!
– I had multiple italian meals and amazing conversations with my friend Shannon (a stellar boudoir photographer in Boston.) She helped me discover my “why” (which I can’t wait to share with you!!) and I am forever grateful for her mentoring! The above image is the best caprese salad I’ve ever had in my entire life! The mozzarella was out of this world…and the heirloom tomatoes? They tasted like they just came from the garden!
-Second shot a gorgeous wedding in Fredericksburg this past weekend. The florals were out of this world! Oh and the private estate? Pretty much my dream home. Reading nooks, reused barn doors and rock walls…yea it was right out of a fairy tale!
-I may have splurged a little and purchased a new lens…I used it to shoot most of the wedding and I am in LOVE. I don’t know how I lived without it for so long…more on that later this week!
Enjoy your Monday! I’m curled up with a blanket fighting off sickness. Not ideal. But I seem to be on the mend so here’s hoping it passes quickly!
